In these dark times, we look for light and peace
For months I had a draft in the newsletter box with 'happy new year, this 2022 will be the best ever.' Little did we know a war would soon break out in Europe with Ukraine being attacked by its neighbouring country. I remind myself and ask the Universe every day, 'Please cease fire and bring peace, we stand with Ukraine' 🇺🇦
In the meantime, normal life is back in Paris with no more face masks except in public transport. The pass has also been put on hold for now. Many events are back in person just like Fashion Week, which just ended, and next week's opening of an exhibition by Zoia Skoropandenko which I will address in this newsletter.
I have been filming a bit of the blossoms in Paris but as you all may have noticed, my hay fever is really severe this season. I attached a view of a Magnolia Tree at Les Halles for you to enjoy.
Sadly, Bobbi and I will miss another week of our weekly broadcast since she had a lot of school work last week and I will be out of town this week. Hopefully we should be back next week for a nice broadcast!
Oh Ceramics!
Zoia Skoropadenko's first inner circle exhibition of 2022 in Paris is called "Oh Ceramics!" and will be opening next week. Of course, I will be doing a report on the exhibition and hopefully virtually tour it with you all.
Vernissage 22 March 6 - 9 pm in presence of Dale Dorosh, Bernard Vitour, Zoia Skoropadenko, Clem Chambers and in spirit of Guimonneau, Mado Jolain and Jean Marais.
Galerie Dobkin, 21 Rue Guénégaud, 75006 Paris

“I am a full-time Ukrainian citizen even if I haven’t lived in Ukraine for 20 years”’ says Zoia Skoropadenko. This is an interview with Zoia a few days before the war broke out which I really wanted to share with you all.
Tip of the week "MAKERS PARIS" — www.amazon.com
In these dark days I would like to tip off this coffee table book by my friend Kate. Makers and creators in Paris, flip through the book on Amazon and order it! I have a copy as well, Bobbi had the honor to be an intern for Kate during the pandemic and I'm very grateful she had that opportunity.
Order now on Amazon, you will love it.
